Zahra’ Langhi is a co-founder of the Libyan Women’s Platform for Peace. She is a scholar, gender specialist and civil society strategist advocating for peace and women’s leadership. With UN Women she coordinated the Libyan Women’s Political Empowerment program, aimed at empowering women to become leaders of political, economic and social reforms. Langhi led the initiative for quotas in the election law.
In October 2016, Langhi participated in the Mediation Conference that Operation 1325 organized in cooperation with the Swedish Institute in Alexandria.
