Nazan Ustundag is a Doctor in Sociology at Boğaziçi University, where she specializes on modernity and post-colonialism theory, feminist theory, the ethnography of state and violence and conflict studies. Her research also includes mediation, negotiations and gender aspects. Ustundag is one of the founders of the Turkish umbrella organization KÖM, Women’s peace initiative.
In October 2016, Nazan Ustundag participated in the Mediation Conference that Operation 1325 organized in cooperation with the Swedish Institute in Alexandria.
