Operation 1325 launches Women Count 2014

SoME Gavobevis 2023

28 November 2014

How well has Sweden managed to implement resolution 1325 on women, peace and security? Sweden was amongst the first to adopt a national action plan for the implementation, and even if progress has been made a lot of the work still remains.

Each year Operation 1325 conducts a survey of Sweden’s efforts to implement the resolution, which is presented in the report Women Count. The survey is a part of an global collaboration to examine the countries’ work with resolution 1325, coordinated by Global network for Women Peacemakers. All national monitoring reports are based on common indicators for measuring the progress, and our report ends with recommendations to the Swedish government on how to strengthen its efforts to implement the resolution.
