“Democracy Soup” in Jönköping

SoME Gavobevis 2023

6 December 2016

On November 25, Operation 1325 had the great opportunity to present its work at the event Demokratisoppa – Democracy Soup – in the city of Jönköping.

Democracy Soup is arranged by Sensus Studieförbund, Den globala skolan and Region Jönköpings län. The event invites its audience to listen to and take part in a conversation on democracy and sustainability over lunch in the museum of Jönköping.

Board member Birgitta Rang and project leader Charlotte Lind talked about the UN Security Council resolution 1325 and the work Operation 1325 does. Special focus was on the organisation’s projects in Turkey and the challenges the women in the Turkish civil society are facing today.
