Angela Cerón is the Director of IMP, Iniciativa de Mujeres Colombianas por la Paz, the Initiative for Women for Peace, founded in 2001 as a result of the women’s arm of the Swedish Trade Union movement meeting with their Colombian counterparts.
Cerón is an experienced negotiator, having participated in negotiations between the Colombian government and paramilitary forces.
In October 2016, Cerón participated in the Mediation Conference that Operation 1325 organized in cooperation with the Swedish Institute in Alexandria.
