Svenska Kvinnors Vänsterförbund; The Left Federation of Swedish Women

The left Federation of Swedish Women (SKV) is a nonpartisan, feministic and pacifistic women's association.

SKV has its roots in Frisinnade kvinnor (Liberal women) that was established in 1914 with the slogan ”Against war psychosis, for democracy and women's equality”. The asociation got its current name in 1931. SKV works for equality between men and women, a deeper democracy, protection against violence and commersial exploitation towards women and children and for a society where children can grow up safely. SKV works for peace, against war and imperialism, with the goal of achieving a complete disarmament. In addition, SKV woks towards a sustainable development and a just distribution of the planet's resources.
